VESSEL DIGITAL TWINS

Understand the architecture.
Before changing the vessel.

A digital twin gives us a controlled way to model selected systems, connections and data flows. It supports deeper analysis without turning the live yacht into a laboratory.

A PURPOSE-BUILT MODEL

Enough fidelity
to answer the
right question.

A security digital twin is not a visual replica of the yacht. It is a structured representation of the parts that matter to a defined assessment: network zones, access paths, services, identities, gateways, selected protocols and expected behaviour.

The model can combine diagrams, configuration evidence, representative virtual systems and safe protocol simulations. Its scope is determined by the question we need to answer and the information available.

Digital twin, in this context
A controlled security model of selected vessel technology and its relationships, created to analyse architecture, test assumptions and validate improvements.

WHAT IT CAN HELP YOU DO

Move from assumptions to evidence.

01 / MAP

See the relationships

Document how onboard IT, communications, navigation support and engineering environments connect.

02 / EXPLORE

Find weak boundaries

Examine unintended paths, excessive trust and dependencies that are difficult to see in isolated diagrams.

03 / TEST

Validate safely

Reproduce selected scenarios, detections and configuration changes away from operational systems.

04 / DECIDE

Plan with confidence

Compare options and give owners, managers and technical teams a clearer basis for action.

TYPICAL USES

A practical tool for an existing yacht, refit or new integration.

01

Architecture review

Model trust boundaries, network zones, vendor access and cross-domain dependencies to reveal structural risk.

02

Change assessment

Explore how a proposed gateway, application, remote-access service or network change affects the wider environment.

03

Detection validation

Generate controlled normal and anomalous activity to confirm that custom alerts behave as intended.

04

Supplier coordination

Create a shared technical view that helps different vendors discuss boundaries, responsibilities and remediation.

The model follows the purpose.

We do not claim to reproduce every onboard system. Scope, fidelity and limitations are agreed at the outset and recorded with the findings.

MODEL A SPECIFIC CONCERN
